The Township of Zorra has put a call out for volunteers to help with the Thamesford Wall of Recognition
THAMESFORD - Volunteers are needed to help select the next round of inductees for the Thamesford Wall of Recognition.
The 2015 class will be introduced in the Beatty Room at the Thamesford Library in the fall. Municipal Clerk for the Township of Zorra Karen Martin tells Heart FM every year they select people from the community who are making a difference. "Individuals who have been involved in the community for a number of years and are well known. For example, the last time we held this event a lot of the members of the Thamesford Trojans hockey team were recognized for a lot of the volunteer work they do with that team."
Martin says they need volunteers to help with the planning of the award ceremony and they need help finding out who should be inducted this year.
If you're interested you can contact Martin at the Township of Zorra at 519-485-2490 ext. 228 by July 30th or by email at kmartin@zorra.on.ca.
