Ontario's registrar for payday loans is trying to shut down "The Cash Store". The ministry is scheduled to hold a press conference today, where it's expected to outline its case against the company. However, The Cash Store Financial Services Inc. says it will request a hearing before Ontario's Licence Appeal Tribunal over its payday lending licences. Cash Store claims it no longer offers payday loans in the province since introducing its line of credit products. They have an outlet at the corner of Dundas and Wellington in Downtown Woodstock. The Cash Store Financial Services also operates "Instaloans Inc.", which has an outlet in the Huron Plaza at Huron and Norwich.
