Anna Belleth won the Big Night In's Oxford's Got Talent show on the weekend and the 15 year old singer songwriter from Woodstock looks to have a bright future in music.
WOODSTOCK - The future is bright for an up and coming singer songwriter from Woodstock.
Anna Belleth recently won Oxford's Got Talent with her original song Goodbye. Belleth explains what it was like when the Judges called her name.
"Everyone at my house just started cheering, my parents were really happy, I was really happy, I couldn't believe it. My grandma called and my mom put her on speaker phone and she just went, hey Anna, are you going to buy us some coffee. I mean it was just amazing."
Belleth explains the inspiration for her original song Goodbye.
"I wrote this song about a relationship and seeing someone and they are changing and you trying to be the best you can be for one another but it's just not working. It doesn't necessarily have to be a romantic relationship, it can be about a friend and it's just having to say goodbye because it's just not working. I wrote the song during quarantine and I sat down and it all just kind of came out in one big moment."
The 15 year old is in grade 11 and plans to keep pursuing music as a career.
"I don't know what the future brings but all I know is I want to keep playing music and that's what I love and I want to just keep inspiring people with the stories I write."
This isn't the first time we have featured Belleth, she was also a finalist earlier this year in a contest from CBC.
You can check out her performance from the Big Night In Oxford's Got Talent video which can be found on the BBBS Oxford Facebook Page. Belleth's song comes up around the 56 minute mark.
