The overnight shelter has added 25 beds, doubling the amount it had before.
WOODSTOCK - It's a welcome addition to the overnight shelter in Woodstock.
The Inn has opened its expanded space, which offers an additional 25 emergency overnight beds. This is double the amount of beds it had before.
The shelter is located in Old St. Paul's Anglican Church, and it is run by Operation Sharing. Those who use the shelter also receive a meal, some clothing, and have shower and washroom access from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
It hosted an average of 24 guests each night last year, helping 237 people in total.
The Inn is the only overnight shelter that's offered in Oxford County year-round. Operation Sharing offers the Inn Out of the Cold program in Tillsonburg, but it only provides shelter during the colder winter months.
