The region's top doctor confirmed today that no cases of the UK variant have been confirmed in our region at this time.
OXFORD COUNTY - During a weekly press briefing, Medical Officer of Health Dr. Joyce Lock confirmed the UK variant has not shown up in our region this time.
Dr. Lock was quick to point out that this by no way means the UK variant is not in our community, however it has not shown up in any of the lab tests to this point.
She also pointed out that the latest numbers and trends from our region are encouraging and that means we need to continue to be vigilant to stop the spread of the virus in our community.
