The Birds and the Bees is about a turkey farmer who decides to leave her husband and move back in with her single mother who happens to be a beekeeper.
WOODSTOCK - Theatre Woodstock is about to debut its next show and it's all about the birds and the bees.
The show titled "The Birds and the Bees" will hit the stage for the first time this weekend. Director Kim Di Lello says the story follows a mother and daughter.
"The daughter has recently left her husband and moved back home. The mother has been alone for a long time so there is a lot of family tension there between the ladies and both ladies end up meeting some gentleman that come into the picture."
Sarah, the daughter, is a turkey farmer and her mother Gail is a beekeeper. Tanya Thompson will bring Gail to life on stage.
"Four generations of her family have lived on that farm and she has chosen to give up her full-time career because the bees need her full attention."
There will be seven performances at Theatre Woodstock starting with a 7:30 p.m. show on Friday September 15th and ending with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday September 24th. You can find all of the showtimes and purchase tickets online here.
Kim Di Lello and Tanya Thompson stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Monday September 11th. You can listen to the full interview below:
