With an emphasis on family, the Ontario Southcoast Airshow is flying into Tillsonburg Saturday.
TILLSONBURG - The Ontario Southcoast Airshow is heading to Tillsonburg this weekend.
Chair of the Committee Andre Brisson says they have tried hard to make it a family festival.
"(patrons can) enjoy the free bouncies, the face painting, we are going to have a balloon tyer-upper type of person, we've got a lot of arts and crafts for kids and at the same time we have a bunch of planes flying around doing a bunch of crazy stuff."
Brisson says several aircraft will be performing including two jets which are local tenants to the Tillsonburg Airport.
"We've got the Red Bull Air Racer Pete McLeod showing up doing some really crazy stunt flying. We have a jelly bean comedy act, he does a little comedy routine, he lands on a moving RV and at the same time we have a 73 year old aerobatic pilot who used to be an Air Force pilot going his thing in his Yak-50."
There will also be a pilot meet and greet barbecue Friday night.
"You can hang out with the pilots and talk to them and their crew and then maybe even have the opportunity to walk by and take a closer look at their planes and that starts at 5 o'clock on Friday night. Tickets are available online at www.ontariosouthcoastairshow.com or at the airport or even the day of."
Tickets for the show are $15 for adults, $10 for a child and those 4 and under are free with family packages available for purchase as well.
The show is scheduled for Saturday at 1pm. Gates open at 9:30am.
