It will be a dumpster diva's delight today. Oxford People Against the Landfill are hosting Trashapalooza! It's a recycling and fundraising event being hosted by the group battling the Walker Landfill proposal. The event is an opportunity to bring household goods you no longer use, but maybe someone else will pick it up and give it a second life. Karen Paton-Evans says they're also looking for these donations. "Collecting scrap metal so we will be able to send those to a recycler and get cash for them to help fund OPAL's ongoing expenses for a hydrogeologist and an air quality expert as we try to figure out how we're going to continue fighting Walker's landfill proposal." There will also be speakers and musical performances at the event. It runs from 9 till 6 at the Foldens Hall and Shop at the corner of Sweaburg Road and Foldens Line.
