INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll 50 plus Seniors Centre is hosting a tribute concert fundraiser.
Jim Yorfido and Tim Herbert will be playing music paying tribute to Johnny Cash and George Jones. Recreation Program Coordinator, Robin Goudreault says anyone who wants to go still has an opportunity to buy tickets.
"We are still selling tickets at the Seniors Centre itself, which is 250 Ingersoll Street South. They can purchase tickets there, and tickets are $35, or we will have tickets available at the door."
Goudreault mentions there will also be a 50/50 draw, snack booth, and cash bar. She adds there will be an intermission during the show, where there will be a draw for door prizes. Goudreault says why this fundraiser is taking place.
"The fundraiser, it helps to fund our programs, anything from our card games, fitness programs, we have a baseball league, and we have a golf league."
She mentions the Centre also takes bus trips and the fundraising helps keep the costs low. The doors open at 6:30, and the event gets underway at 7. It is taking place at Unifor Local 88.
