It's been a wild day on the roads in Perth County, where OPP have been responding to a series of crashes in whiteout conditions. In one case, a large grain truck crashed on Highway 23, south of Mitchell. It spilled some of its load of seed corn. The 73-year-old driver from Thamesford was not injured. Police say conditions were windy with drifting snow at the time. They're going to leave the vehicle where it is, and clean up the scene tomorrow when weather conditions improve. Perth OPP have responded to at least 8 crashes since snowsqualls hit the area late this morning.
