WOODSTOCK - Lots of people will gather in Woodstock's Museum Square for the first annual Truth and Reconciliation March.
It will be taking place this Sunday afternoon, ahead of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday September 30th.
There will be a land acknowledgment and smudge ceremony at 12:00 p.m., followed by the opening remarks at 12:30 p.m., and the walk beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Those who stop by Museum Square will also be able to shop through a vendor market and check out a live Indigenous drumming display.
This event is all about remembering the past, honouring residential school victims, and working together towards truth and reconciliation. It's being hosted by Becca Neepinn and Two Row Creeations and you can find more information on the Facebook event page online here.
