The goal of these meetings are to provide students who identify as Black with a community of support.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Thames Valley District School Board has created a virtual support group for black students.
They will have meetings on the last Wednesday of every month from 4-5 pm for the rest of the school year.
The goal of these meetings are to provide students who identify as Black with a community of support. They will discuss topics relevant to their live experiences and create an environment where Black students can propose improvements or changes to school/system structures. The hope is to remove barriers to their learning and wellbeing.
Students interested in participating are asked to send their name and school name via email to matthew.sereda@tvdsb.ca.
