One will be in East Zorra-Tavistock and the other will be in Zorra Township.
EZT/ZORRA - An intersection in East Zorra-Tavistock is about to get some work done.
The corner of Oxford Road 33 and 16th Line was the subject of an Intersection Control Feasibility Study earlier this year and the county signed off on several improvement measures in response. They include making the intersection an all-way stop with stop ahead signs, stop signs with red flashing lights, rumble strips on Oxford Road 33, and ensuring the intersection is illuminated in 2026. There will also be centerline pavement marking adjustments and pavement markings to show vehicles where to stop.
The county has also signed off on some improvements for the corner of Oxford Road 6 and Oxford Road 28 in Zorra Township. It will also become an all-way stop with stop ahead signs, stop signs for red flashing lights, rumble strips on Oxford Road 6, and pavement markings showing people where to stop. The improvements were based on a third-party Road Safety Audit, using the guidelines established by Good Roads.
Both intersections should be up and running by early to mid-September.
WATCH for new all-way stops coming to @EastZorraTav and Zorra Township. All-way stops will be implemented at Oxford Road 33 and Oxford Road 60 (16th Line) in East Zorra-Tavistock, and Oxford Road 6 and Oxford Road 28 in Zorra, in early to mid-September. https://t.co/sbHkINrCLu pic.twitter.com/9e4jbJ42D2
