A 73 year-old man and 73 year-old woman were charged after Woodstock Police began a historical criminal investigation earlier this month. The man and woman had ties to Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police say the Criminal Investigations Branch began the investigation on February 4th looking into allegations of a historical assault.
The male victim was a child at the time and the offences occurred between 1991 and 1995. They say the alleged assaults happened at a home day care in Woodstock, which was open for approximately 25 years between the 1980s and 1990s.
Police charged a 73 year-old man and 73 year-old woman yesterday with assault, uttering threats and assault causing bodily harm. Police say the man and woman had ties to Ingersoll, Walkerton and Fenwick and may have had a daycare or worked with children in these three locations.
