The Oxford County Animal Rescue will be hosting its Valentine's Day Bake Sale this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
WOODSTOCK - Love is in the air at the Oxford County Animal Rescue, along with the smell of sweet treats.
Valentine's Day is coming up next week, so the local animal rescue will be hosting its annual Valentine's Day Bake Sale this Saturday. It's happening at its Woodstock office, which is located at 789 Dundas Street.
Foster Coordinator Anna Holmes says they will have lots of delicious items to satisfy your sweet tooth.
"We always have lots of cupcakes at this sale, I've been busy doing some fancy fudges, and we always have the squares. We have lots of good things for our human sweet teeth!"
But if you're interested in taking some of those delicious desserts home, Holmes says you should arrive sooner rather than later.
"The event runs from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. but if you're interested in the baked goods, you might want to get there before 1:00 p.m. because we usually sell out of the baked goods by then."
All of the proceeds raised will benefit the animals in their care. The rescue will also have some of the adoptable cats on site, so you could potentially apply to bring home your next best friend. You can read more about the different cats they have up for adoption online here, and the dogs they have up for adoption online here.
Anna Holmes called the Heart FM studio for her monthly chat with Dan and Marcie on Wednesday February 7th. You can listen to the full interview below:
