Player and goalie of the month for November are Navy Vets. Eleven players also named to All-Star weekend line-up.
WOODSTOCK - The Navy Vets are pleased to announce that the Midwestern Junior C Hockey League has named forward Mike Gillespie Player of the Month for November and Michael Roefs Goalie of the Month for November.
Gillespie had 11 goals in 10 games including 4 2-goal games, and currently leads the league in goals with 18.
Roefs had a 5-2 record in 7 games and 2 shutouts, and currently leads the league with a 1.96 GAA and .923 SV % …
As well the Vets will have 11 players participate on All-Star Weekend in Ayr on Saturday January 3, 2015.
Jackson Swindells (G) , Cam Leslie (D) , Max Coyle (D) , Justin Elms (F) , Austin Richardson (F) , and Dylan Wettlaufer (F) will represent the Vets in the Prospect Game.
Michael Roefs (G) , Nathan Innes (D) , Mike Gillespie (F) , Jake Schneider (F), and Mackenzie Langford (F) will be on the roster for the All-Star Game.
The Navy Vets currently sit in 3rd place with a 15-9 record and host winless Delhi at Southwood Arena on Friday night at 7:45 pm and then host rival Tavistock on Saturday night at Southwood Arena at 7:45 pm.
