OPP are reporting multiple collisions in the region this morning, including one fatal crash on Highway 54.
It was an absolute mess on the roadways this morning with the OPP responding to several collisions.
The Highway 401 W/B lanes were closed due to unsafe road conditions. They have since reopened. At least one tractor trailer jacknifed at that intersection. Police have also opened the W/B lanes at highway 402.
The highway is still very slippery in some sections and people are being asked to drive to the road conditions.
OPP are reporting multiple collisions on the 401 today and the 403. There was also a fatal crash on Hwy 54 north of Caledonia.
#HaldimandOPP There has been a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Hwy 54 north of Caledonia. Hwy 54 remains closed from Mines Rd. to Brant County Road 22. Also Onondaga Rd. will be closed from Hwy 54 to Greens Rd. Please avoid this area. Thank you ^mg pic.twitter.com/ap0pcyHhxp
