Share the Road with tractors and other slow moving vehicles during the Harvest Season.
The OPP are reminding drivers in Oxford County to share the road during the fall Harvest Season.
Fall harvest is currently underway and at any point in time you can run into slow moving farm vehicles on our roadways. These vehicles can only travel up to 40 kilometres an hour and it is important to be patient when you encounter them on our roadways.
Police are reminding you to reduce your speed and staying well back. You are only allowed to pass a farm vehicle when it is safe to do so. When passing a slow moving vehicle, remember to allow them their full lane. Don't try to squeeze by, this result's in close calls and all too often collisions.
They are slow and they are big, so give them the space they require.
