Residents in Oxford County will experience low water pressure and discolouration starting next week. Crews will be towns across the County flushing watermains.
OXFORD COUNTY - The watermains in Oxford County will be getting flushed.
Crews will be starting work in towns across the County, starting on Sunday, September 24th in Tavistock.
The County runs on 100% ground water for their drinking supply, which makes for mineral build-up in the distribution system, and the flushing ensures the system runs smoothly.
Oxford County crews partake in watermain flushing twice a year, by forcing water through at high speeds and discharging it through hydrants and blow-offs.
For the times, locations, and other information regarding the watermain flushing visit the Oxford County website.
