Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning and a rainfall warning for the counties of Oxford, Perth, Middlesex and Norfolk.
The counties of Oxford, Perth, Middlesex and Norfolk are under a freezing rain warning and a rainfall warning.
According to Environment Canada, we can expect about 10mm of ice buildup and strong winds. This may cause power outages in the area.
We might also be in for about 25mm to 35mm of heavy rainfall tonight going into tomorrow morning.
Jeff Slager, Acting Fire Chief of the Woodstock Fire Department says you should clear your catch water basins before the rain starts.
"If you've got the municipal water system in the area or the municipal storm sewers; we ask if you get an opportunity to head out and clear some of the ice and snow around that so when the rain does start come and accumulate it actually has a place for it to go and it doesn't start running into people's properties and basements."
The weather has also prompted closures at the the Woodstock Public Library and the Annandale National Historic Site.
