The Woodstock Rockers Special Olympics Curling Team have been crowned "A" Division champions in the Ontario Men's Curling Championship.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Rockers made the Friendly City proud at the Ontario Men's Provincial Curling Championship.
Head Coach Darlene Wood says they were happy compete in the Special Olympics rounds in Huntsville.
"The Ontario Curling Association has a feature game, that features the 'A' Division curling teams and the 'B' Division curling teams and we get to compete for the championship banner."
The Rockers were dubbed the "A" Division Champions of Ontario, after they beat Kingston on Saturday.
They were wearing red team sweaters throughout the tournament, with a shoulder patch representing their lifetime team member Adam Alexander; who passed away in 2016. The hoodies were a gift from Woodstock City Council.
Wood is incredibly proud of her team, but adds their season isn't over yet.
"We have a couple more weeks of hard practice because we have provincial qualifier for the (2019) Ontario Winter Games."
They will hit the ice again in Windsor on the 18th.
