There was a decrease in home sales and the average price of a home.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors sold 167 units in May.
That number comes in just point 6 percent lower than May 2024. It's almost 15 percent lower than the five year average and 17 percent lower than the 10-year average.
On a year-to-date basis, home sales totaled 662 units over the first five months of the year. This was a decrease of 11.1 percent from the same period in 2024.
Also, there was a decrease in the cost of home sales in May. The average price last month was $593,868, which was down over eight percent from 2024.
The dollar value of all home sales in May 2025 was $99.2 million, dropping just shy of nine percent from the same month in 2024.
