The Woodstock Choralaires will perform songs from classic movies in The Golden Age of the Silver Screen.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Choralaires are celebrating classic movies this April.
The Golden Age of the Silver Screen will feature songs from classic Hollywood movies. The introduction of movies started with sound in the 1920's and the early 1930's with sound effects and pre-recorded music. Not long after that came synchronized dialogue in short films like "The Talkies."
Many songs will be played from classic Hollywood movies such as The Jazz Singer, The Wizard of Oz, Meet Me in St. Louis, State Fair and Singin' in the Rain.
The show will begin at 2:00pm and 7:30pm on Saturday April 28th at the Marathana Christian Reformed Church.
The cost of tickets is only $25 for adults or $12 for children under 12 years old. You can purchase them online here, at Merrifield Book shop, from members of the Choralaires or by calling 519-536-7630.
