Woodstock City Council has approved a zone change application which paves the way for Taco Bell to return to the Friendly City.
WOODSTOCK - It looks like we're one step closer to getting a Taco Bell in Woodstock.
During last night's City Council meeting, council passed a zone change application in order to allow for the construction of a Taco Bell drive-thru in the Foodland plaza on Dundas Street.
Woodstock used to have a Taco Bell close to the YMCA on Dundas Street, but it closed several years ago. Wimpy's Diner took over the lot, but it has been replaced with a Starbucks.
The approved zone change application will also allow for the construction of another building in the Foodland parking lot with three units inside, one of which would be occupied by a Tahini's Mediterranean restaurant.
