Woodstock City Council will hear a delegation from Human Services with the County of Oxford this afternoon and their presentation is titled "A Crisis Across the Housing Continuum in Oxford County."
WOODSTOCK - A delegation at the Woodstock City Council meeting this afternoon will look at the current support services to assist with homelessness.
Rebecca Smith and Lisa Lanthier from Human Services with the County of Oxford will speak before council. They will be providing information on the current support services and initiatives that are being provided to the homeless in our community.
The presentation to council is called "A Crisis Across the Housing Continuum in Oxford County" and will show that 10% of the population is in core housing need. Core housing need refers to anyone who pays 30% or more of their before tax income on rent.
