A portion of Dundas Street in Woodstock was closed while firefighters investigated a smoky smell at a dance studio.
WOODSTOCK - Where there's smoke, there's not always a fire.
Emergency services blocked off a portion of Dundas Street in downtown Woodstock after reports of a smoky smell from a local dance studio.
When firefighters arrived they searched the studio and adjacent buildings looking for the source of the potential fire, but found nothing.
Later it was determined the source of the smell was likely a blowtorch used during roof repair on a nearby building.
The dance studio was evacuated while the Woodstock Fire Department conducted a thorough search, but the matter was resolved without incident.
