WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Hospital has released their new Strategic plan for the next five years.
This plan will help guide organizational decision-making and initiatives over the next five years. CEO Perry Lang says their mission is Community-oriented, personalized and quality care.
"It's all about the involvement we have in the community and the role we play in community health in Oxford County. We heard from our stakeholders, whether it be the community partners, frontline staff, physicians, board members and community agencies, that it is imperceptive as a community. An example of this would be with COVID, we worked in partnership with Southwestern Public health and other community partners to work through the pandemic that we are currently involved in and it provides quality health to the residents of Oxford County."
Lang notes they interviewed over 1,000 community stakeholders to help them come up with this plan.
"We heard from over 1,000 people as part of this consultation and it has taken a number of months to sort of shape the pillars, the new mission, vision and values and we look forward to executing the number of items in our tactical plan to ensure that we achieve the success as set out in the strategic plan."
The vision of the Woodstock Hospital is Working collaboratively to advance the health and well-being of our community and you can read the Values Statement below:
We strive to serve others; building on our collective strengths, expertise and shared values; for the betterment of our patients, their families, and our community. Lang says the pandemic has changed the way they do things.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of collaboration and it has shown us what we are capable of when we are all working together towards a common goal. The new Strategic Plan also places an emphasis on collaboration. It speaks to partnering with patients and families, community partners, and all of our staff in order to provide exceptional care for Oxford County residents now and in the future."
Lang says the Woodstock Hospital has also created a Tactical Plan, that details the actions and measures we will use to ensure our success. We look forward to reporting back, being accountable, and continuing to listen to the changing needs of our patients, families, caregivers, staff and community partners.
