He and his wife plan on taking their kids on a trip to Jamaica to visit family.
WOODSTOCK - Donald Patterson of Woodstock is $50,000 richer thanks to his favourite lottery game.
Patterson didn't expect much when he visited the Oxford Truck Stop on Highway 2 to purchase his Instant Bingo ticket, a regular task for him over the past 17 years.
A couple of days later he settled in to scan his ticket on the OLG app. He heard the phone ring the classic ‘WINNER’ chime but was shocked when he looked at his screen. He then had his wife rescan the ticket to confirm he was seeing the $50,000 prize correctly.
"This is a wonderful feeling. I am so glad I tried my luck that day," Donald concluded as he picked up his prize from the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
Donald and his wife have 3 kids. He and his wife plan on taking their kids on a trip to Jamaica to visit family. He says the rest will go to home renovations in Woodstock.
