Woodstock Mayor Charged With Sexual Assault

London Police have charged Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch with sexual assault with choking.

WOODSTOCK - London Police have charged Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch with sexual assault with choking according to the London Free Press.

The article states the charges involve the same woman and date back to Valentines Day of last year. Birtch will have his next court appearance on May 2.

Heart FM had heard from multiple sources this week that the Mayor was arrested this past weekend. When we reached out to London Police for comment they responded by saying the following:

"I don’t see any charges associated to that name. In relation to anything domestic –related, we would not share any information that could potentially identify a victim."

This was on Wednesday.

The article from the LFP cites court documents that show that Birtch was indeed charged with sexual assault with choking.

This is a developing story and we will update this page when more information becomes available. Heart FM did reach out to the Mayor for comment and he has not responded.
