
Woodstock Police briefs include a drug bust, a speedster, an impaired driver, and a couple of shoplifting incidents.
WOODSTOCK - A 37-year-old has been busted for drug possession in the Friendly City.
Woodstock Police officers arrested the man on Princess Street last Thursday morning. He was wanted on a warrant and police say he was carrying a small amount suspected fentanyl at the time.
He has been charged with one count of possession of an opioid other than heroin.

WOODSTOCK - Charges have been laid in a Woodstock shoplifting incident.
Police say someone tried to conceal items while they were at a store on Dundas Street on Friday.
Officers found the suspect with the merchandise outside the business shortly afterward. The 34-year-old man has been charged with theft under $5,000, failure to comply with probation, and failure to comply with a release order.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have charged a 26-year-old for allegedly trying to shoplift a power tool from a business on Juliana Drive.
The store employees reported the incident late Monday morning, after the suspect fled on foot.
He was later identified and he's now facing one count of theft under $5,000.
The stolen property was recovered and returned to the business.

WOODSTOCK - A 51-year-old man has been charged after he was pulled over on Oxford Road 4.
Woodstock Police say he was speeding Tuesday morning. It was later discovered that he was a suspended driver and wanted by the OPP.
The man has been charged with speeding and driving while under suspension. His motorcycle was also impounded for a week.

WOODSTOCK - What started as a crash on Huron Street ended with charges laid against a 23-year-old Woodstonian.
The call came in at around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday and Woodstock Police discovered that the driver had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
He's now facing one count of operation while impaired and one count of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
