In relation to the investigation initiated early Tuesday morning, Woodstock Police arrested a 56-year-old Woodstock resident around noon.
UPDATE 2: Woodstock Police have charged 56-year-old Paul Gerard Fitzgerald of Woodstock with second-degree murder.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.

UPDATE: The suspect from the suspicious death investigation has been taken into custody.
In relation to the investigation initiated early this morning, Woodstock Police arrested a 56-year-old Woodstock resident around noon.
The 59-year-old victim was transported to the hospital for multiple stab wounds and was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time and there continues to be a police presence in the area of Fyfe Avenue.

WOODSTOCK - A suspicious death investigation is underway in Woodstock.
There's a heavy police presence in the area of Fyfe Ave and the Woodstock Police Service says there is no risk to public safety at this time. Officers are asking people to stay away from the area if possible.
The WPS responded to a 911 call about a dispute in the area at around 2:20 a.m. today. The suspicious death investigation was launched afterward.
