
Illegal drugs have been taken off the streets in Woodstock as Police lay charges in two separate incidents.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have laid charges in a drug trafficking investigation.
The first took place on May 15th as multiple warrants were executed in the City, resulting in seizure of drugs, cash, and suspected proceeds of crime. A 43-year-old male, and 22-year-old female were arrested and are each facing 5 possession related charges. The charges include, two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, and Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
During the warrants, officers found and seized suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $7,500, along with quantities of suspected cocaine, Hydromorphone tablets, and over $4,000 in Canadian currency.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have laid charges after a traffic stop in the City.
Officers stopped the vehicle in the area of Bedi Drive and Knights Lane. Police further investigated as the traffic was being conducted, and took two 32-year-old men from Kitchener into custody. They are each facing charges related to drug trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and the Highway Traffic Act.
The charges are, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon. In addition, both individuals face separate charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
During the further investigation, Officers seized cocaine with an estimated street value of $3,800, along with a quantity of cannabis, prescription pills, and over $1,800 in cash.
