Woodstock Police are reminding everyone to stay home, practice physical distancing, wear a face covering and to not get behind the wheel if you have been drinking this long weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are preaching safety this long weekend.
They asking everyone celebrating this long weekend to please abide by all of the Ontario COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions to help reduce the spread of the virus:
- Stay home
- Practice physical distancing – stay 2 metres away from anyone who is not in your household
- Wash your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer thoroughly and often
- Wear a face covering – if it is reusable clean it regularly and properly
As of September 19, 2020 social gatherings and unstaffed events are limited to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors. Indoor and outdoor gatherings cannot be merged together. Exceeding these limits could result in fines starting at: $10,000 for the organizer and $750 for each guest.
Police also ask that those celebrating with alcohol or other impairing substances do not get behind the wheel. Keeping our roads safe is everyone’s responsibility.
Woodstock Police will be out to ensure everyone is abiding by COVID-19 restrictions and keeping our roadways are safe.
