A horde of the undead will be walking down Dundas Street, in Woodstock's first ever Zombie Walk.
WOODSTOCK - Zombies will be taking over downtown Woodstock!
Cycles of Life will be hosting their first annual Zombie Walk on Saturday October 27th.
The walk will begin in the Foodland parking lot at 4:30 p.m. You should arrive earlier if you would like to have your face makeup done by some of the high school students on site.
The zombies will head over to Museum Square for a photo opportunity with the fountain.
Everyone will go to Riff Music Lounge for a party afterwards. The event will include a best dressed zombie contest, kid's games, a silent auction and lots of spooky vendors.
If you purchase a $10 ticket you can also enter to win one of four of their door prizes up for grabs.
Organizer Winter Smith would like to turn this into an annual event.
"I think it's definitely going to be unique. It's the first time that Woodstock has ever had one and they've been wildly successful in other cities so I would like to help it grow."
All of the money raised will benefit Cycles of Life. Smith says they're hoping to build their own facility in the Friendly City.
"We could very well be operational in the next two to three years. Right now with events like this, we're just collecting money and raising awareness. All of the money goes towards the things that we would like to put into this site."
Smith says they would like to offer affordable housing, an emergency homeless shelter, education workshops and more.
