A Woodstock grandmother is getting ready to bring toy donations to the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital.
WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock grandmother is hoping to bring some Christmas cheer to the Toronto Sick Kids hospital.
Julie Walton-Jintes has been collecting donations for their 4D cardiac ward, where her granddaughter spent the first month of her life after receiving open heart surgery.
Walton-Jintes says they will be bringing lots of toys to the hospital on December 13th.
"We've got Frozen Olaf, Pokémon cards and toys, Hello Kitty, Star Wars Lego, Barbies, cars and all kinds of stuff."
She's also raising money to purchase a new train table to donate in her granddaughter's name.
If you would like to help the cause you can drop the toys off at Walton-Jintes's house located at 135 Oxford Street in Woodstock, or arrange a pick up by calling 519-608-3429. If you would like to provide a monetary donation you can e-mail transfer funds to juliewj@gmail.com.
Walton-Jintes says her deadline is approaching.
"On the 12th of this month we will stop collecting donations and if I get anything after that we will be doing it next year as well."
