Woodstock Police are encouraging residents to register their bicycle in case it goes missing or is stolen.
WOODSTOCK - Residents are being encouraged to register their bicycle through the Woodstock Police's bike registry.
Community Service Officer Shaylyn Jackson says it gives you a chance to register your bike in case it goes missing or it gets stolen.
"We'd have the bicycle serial number along with the make and model, colour and the type of bicycle that it is, and any other additional information, so that we're able to return it to its appropriate owner."
The form asks you to include such details including your home and email address.
It also allows you to enter any unique features the bike has.
She adds it is common to find a bike that is stolen, but no owner to return it to.
"If there's a bike that's been stolen and we don't have any record of it through our bike registry, it becomes quite difficult for us to determine who the owner is."
After filling out the form, it will be added to their Registry Bike Database.
