Youth between the ages of 12 and 17 will be eligible for their third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine starting this Friday.
SWPH - Youth between the ages of 12 and 17 will soon be able to get their COVID-19 booster shot.
The province announced yesterday that booster eligibility will open to that age group on Friday February 18th. All youth must be over 12-years-old in order to get the shot and it must be at least six months (168 days) since they received their second dose.
Here in the Southwestern Public Health Region, youth will be able to receive their third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the mass vaccination clinics in Woodstock and St. Thomas. You can book an appointment online here or by calling 1-800-922-0096 with extension 9.
Select pharmacies will be able to offer the booster to the 12 to 17 age group as well.
The mass vaccination clinic at the St. Thomas Memorial Auditorium will be offering extended hours on Thursday February 17th and Friday February 25th. The clinic will be open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m. and walk-in appointments will be accepted.
