The results are in and Marcus Ryan is the new mayor of Zorra Township.
TOWNSHIP of ZORRA - It was long night in Zorra Township.
The voting tabulators ran into some technical glitches on election and the results did not become available until after 10:00 pm. The unofficial results have Marcus Ryan as the new mayor for the Township of Zorra. Ryan edged out Doug Matheson with 1639 votes compared to 1049 for Matheson.
Also representing the Township will be Ron Forbes in Ward 1, Katie Davies in Ward 2, Paul Mitchell for Ward 3 and Steven Macdonald in ward 4.
Voter turnout in Zorra Township was 44 percent, which is down 4 percent from the last election.
