OXFORD COUNTY - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County (BBBS) are hosting their annual open house.
Manager of Communications Liz Wismer-VanMeer says the event is being held tonight to celebrate Big Brothers Big Sisters Day.
"We just want to celebrate with our community members but also give them the opportunity to come in and see what their support is doing, the impact that they are having on young people here in our community, but also talk about our need for volunteers."
Wismer-VanMeer says BBBS is looking to recruit 50 new volunteers this month to help shorten the waitlist.

Anyone interested in the organization is welcome this evening. Wismer-VanMeer says guests are invited to learn about BBBS, enjoy the refreshments, and get to know those involved.
"Anybody that comes by today (will get) to fill out a ballot for a chance to win a pair of tickets to our Big Night Out Charity Ball. We're also going to be selling tickets for Big Night Out at all of our locations so if anybody wants to come in and pick up their tickets at the same time tonight we will have that available for you to do."
