A 66-year-old SWOX man is facing numerous charges after a traffic stop in Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - The Oxford OPP have gotten drugs off the streets.
On November 27th, members of the Oxford detachment were on general patrol at 7 p.m. when a traffic stop was done on Culloden Road in Ingersoll. The investigation continued after the traffic stop and with the help of the Oxford, Brant, Middlesex and Elgin Community Street Crime Units along with West Region Emergency Response Team, a 66-year-old South-West Oxford man was arrested and charged.
The man is facing possession of a Schedule III substance for trafficking, possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public place, possession of illicit cannabis, possession of cannabis for selling, possession of a Schedule I substance, and possession to distribute.
Police say the estimated street value of the seized drugs is $51,000. The man was remanded into custody and will make a court appearance in Woodstock Court at a later date.
