The province says electric vehicle chargers have been installed at the ONroute locations in Woodstock, Ingleside, Innisfil, Tilbury North and Tilbury South.
WOODSTOCK - Electric vehicle owners can now charge up their vehicles at the Woodstock ONroute.
The province has unveiled five new fast charging stations at ONroute locations across the province. The other new chargers are located in Ingleside, Innisfil, Tilbury North and Tilbury South. All of the chargers are currently up and running with the exception of Tilbury South, those chargers will be operational on Monday March 21st.
Minister of Energy Todd Smith says the new chargers will help boost EV ownership, support Ontario’s growing EV manufacturing industry and reduce emissions.
"With EV fast chargers now available at eleven ONroute stations along our province’s business highways it’s even more convenient than ever for workers and families to grab a coffee or a meal while charging their car."
The province announced back in December that 20 EV chargers will be installed along the 401 and 400 highways by the end of 2022. This is a partnership between the Ford Government, Ivy Charging Network, ONroute and Canadian Tire.
