A new logo, a new location, and a new website were featured in the Ingersoll District Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting.
INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll District Chamber of Commerce has introduced a new President and a new board of directors for the upcoming year.
Derek Rye will take over as President from Robin Schultz who will serve as Past President. The announcement was made at the Chamber's Annual General Meeting yesterday. Rye says they also used the event to make a few announcements.
"The Ingersoll District Chamber of Commerce has a new web site, a new location, and a new logo that was unveiled today and I think we are going to have a very successful year."
Finishing touches are still being made to the new web site and it is expected to be ready very soon. MPP Ernie Hardeman was the guest speaker at the event and they also unveiled their new strategic plan. Schultz says she is really excited about the strategic plan.
"For the last year I have been excited about our strategic planning; we took feedback from our members and we made that into a plan that is workable, it's measurable and we can take all of the ideas and put them together and work from there. We have four main goals with the strategic plan and part of the goal is advocacy. We have never had that role before but if businesses are having issues in the community we can look at that and see how to address it and go forward from there."
