Southwestern Public Health's new Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ninh Tran is asking residents to voluntarily take some measures to protect the most vulnerable members in our community.
"Our team has released a series of recommendations for living in this pandemic that are designed to lessen transmission and protect our most vulnerable. We must consider our own risk factors, as well as those of the people we socialize with. COVID-19 is an unwelcome guest. Please stay home when feeling unwell, socialize outdoors or in well ventilated spaces, and wear a mask while socializing indoors with people from outside your household, especially if any of your guests are elderly or immune compromised."

The Health Unit recommends party planners to keep the guest lists small, self screen before the dinner and make sure to keep washing your hands.
