Environment Canada is predicting winds gusts between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour.
OXFORD COUNTY - We're in for a windy start to the week in Oxford County.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement with southwesterly wind gusts between 70 and 80 kilometres per hours possible for today. Strong winds can easily toss around loose objects and cause power outages.
The windy conditions should start this morning and continue into the evening hours before they start to weaken overnight.
Environment Canada says a strong cold front will also move through the area tonight. This will not only cause a sharp temperature drop, but it could also cause bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow, making it hard to see on the roads out there.
