You can learn more about some of the iconic landmarks in Southside Park by going checking out the Southside Park Heritage Tour.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Museum has decided to introduce a new self-guided walking tour.
Education Officer Kerrie Gill says the Southside Park Heritage Tour highlights several local landmarks including the Victory Arch over by South Gate Centre.
"That Victory Arch was built in 1925 and it's got some really interesting history. The walking tour not only brings you to the different sites but it gives you a bit of background on the information on who it was built for or by which is quite interesting."
Gill says the tour also includes historic pictures of some of these landmarks.
She adds it's free to participate and you can find everything you need online.
"You can go to WoodstockMuseum.ca to find the Virtual Walking Tours. There's a link to them on Google Maps online or you also can download/print the PDF version if you prefer to do it that way."
The Woodstock Museum is now offering three Virtual Walking Tours on it's website. The other tours highlight the city's downtown core.
