WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Scouts were able to enjoy their 13th annual Woodstock Fall Camp this past weekend.
Local Scouts, Cubs and Beavers spent two nights under the stars at Camp Impeesa.
The Beavers had a chance to go hiking, help make a camp fire and first aid kits. They also had fun making some leaf presses and pizza pockets over the fire.
The Cubs spent the weekend cooking their own meals, using a camp stove and the campfire. They cooked pancakes, sausages and hotdogs. Dessert featured banana boats cooked over the campfire.
Meanwhile the Scout troop learned how to set up tents in the dark while raining. They were also tasked with finding dry tinder to start the camp fires, using primitive methods in the rain.
The kids had a blast outdoors and they're looking at doing this again in the winter.
