There's a worldwide shortage of aluminium crutches right now and the Woodstock Hospital is now collecting donations.
WOODSTOCK - The healthcare supply chain is experiencing a worldwide shortage of aluminium crutches right now.
Woodstock Hospital is feeling the pinch as well, with a shortage of crutches for patients. They have set up a donation bin at the hospital entrance of Athlone Avenue. If you have an old aluminium crutch from a previous injury, they would really appreciate the donation.
The hospital is inspecting and cleaning the donated crutches, replacing the rubber pads, and then getting them back out into our community to people that need them now.
