The numbers are in and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and area have raised over $41,000 at their 12th annual Bid for Kids Sake fundraiser this year.
Another successful fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area.
Bid for Kids Sake raised over $41,000 this year, the second highest amount ever raised at the annual fundraiser over the past 12 years.
Resource Development Coordinator Heather Brekelmans says the live auction was very popular.
"We were very lucky and blessed that all that attended this year really went the extra mile and actually outbid some of the items values. Together we've raised the highest we've raised at our live auctions so over $12,000."
All of the money raised will benefit the children's programs and services offered through Big Brothers Big Sisters. This includes their annual Children's Christmas Party and the Go Girls program.
Brekelmans tells Heart FM they already have big plans for next year.
"It's our 13th annual next year and we're getting very excited because all of next year is sort of our theme for the 150 years of Canada so we are doing everything Canadian style."
Brekelmans would also like to thank the generous sponsors who helped make the Bid for Kids Sake 2016 possible.
