Learn how to keep your brain healthy with the Alzheimer's Society of Oxford.
WOODSTOCK- Reduce your risk of dementia and be good to your brain with the help of the Alzheimer's Society of Oxford.
Take part in a course to cover a variety of brain exercises, physical activity, healthy eating, managing stress, the importance of social activity and protecting your head.
Education Coordinator, Dana Fallowfield says it's all about training your brain.
"Reducing the Risk of Dementia is a three week series we do with 2 hour sessions. We talk about the ways we can keep our brain's active and healthy and in return it will help to reduce our risk of developing dementia."
Fallowfield adds dementia is a never ending problem that many people are faced with.
"Studies show us that 90% - 95% of cases of dementia are sporadic, meaning there is no connection, anyone can develop it. We are also learning more and more about what we can do to reduce our risk of developing dementia."
The next 3 week series is in the fall. To sign up, please call Dana Fallowfield at 519-421-2466 extension 225.
