The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Agropur Cooperative is pulling certain milk products from the marketplace with a best before date of February 8th, 2020.

ONTARIO - Milk products in Ontario and Quebec are being recalled due to sanitizer contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Agropur Cooperative is recalling certain milk products from the marketplace and you shouldn't consume products that have been sold in both provinces.

The recall involves Sealtest brand products, including skim milk, one percent, two percent and 3.25 percent milk that comes in various container volumes with a best before date of February 8th, 2020.

The L’ecole, c’est nourissant brand two per cent milk in 150 ml cartons is also included in the recall with a best before date of February 8th as well.

Agropur Cooperative started the recall and the CFIA is doing an investigation. They say it could lead to a recall of more products. The CFIA will send out updated Food Recall Warnings to let the public know if more high-risk products are recalled.

The CFIA is verifying the industry is removing the recalled products.

The CFIA says although food that is contaminated with sanitizer may not look spoiled or smell, consumption may cause nausea, an upset stomach or vomiting.

They say if the recalled products are in your home, they should be thrown out or brought back to the store you purchased them from.

The CFIA adds there has been one reported illness linked to the recalled milk products.
